So, I always play console, and have been trying pc games and terraria a bit (my pc is rather weak, but she gets the job done). I had just beaten the queen slime and destroyer, and clicked save and exit to be done for the day… and… I was taken to the menu instantly. Strange, I figured, perhaps nothing I did saved. So, I went back in and… the world just… wasn’t there. My minimap remembers what’s supposed to be there, and my character has on them the stuff I ended the session with, but the world has been reduced to an empty void. I tried force closing the game without saving, trying not to save it into this state, and then I reopened it and reloading into the world, it’s still an empty void. Any clue what causes this, and is there anything that can be done at this point?

When you start hardmode, there's a V shape of two biome strips, one hallowed and one evil biome (unless you're playing some special seeds)

By going down to hell you can find those pretty easy

Also teraspark boots are nice for traversal but Amphibian boots are generally better for boss fights and combat mobility. They massively increase the speed and height of all jumps and wings, meaning you can move out of the way of enemies and projectiles far faster. It's also far easier to get up and over enemies that benefit from a circling path

lets say amphib boots lets u fly up by 100 blocks

terraspark would let u fly 120

but amphib would get u there in 70 blocks/second

terraspark would be like 50 blocks/second

You have it backwards, the increased flight speed allows you to consistently fly higher than the flat additional flight time of the teraspark boots

in all my tests, amphib did not fly higher a single time
