can anyone explain me the full melee progression on normal mode because I’m honestly confused what to use

if you have trouble on skeletron you can use flamarang for more range

To get the nights edge which is what this guys mentions below you need to get either one of the corruption/crimson sword ( kill the biome boss you can activate it by bombing to either the red hearts if your in crimson or the purple balls in corruption you need to destroy 3), Muramasa ( found in chests in the dungeon) , blade of grass ( jungle spores , stingers , vines) , volcano ( originally the fiery great sword , also need hellstone to craft it )

Then after that you need to kill the mechanical bosses for souls and hallowed bars to create the Excalibur and the true nights edge and then get chlorophyte to make the true Excalibur then get a broken hero sword from solar eclipse and merge all 3 for a terra blade

Then explaining how to get the zenith is too long but that’s after you kill moonlord so it’s not necessary anyways

i have a legendary night edge and... oh boy, its not enough

they have 400-3k hp with my night edge dealing 40-70 dmg with occassional 100 crit

Helps to use banners as soon as you can get them, if you aren't already. They're disproportionately more useful the higher the difficulty.

i think any snow or ice type blocks should be fine as long as it's down in the cavern layer
