A potential rework would be to make muramasa benefit something other than melee. If it had bonuses for magic or something, then there's good reason to keep it.

And for new players, the dungeon is more straight forward than the jungle, which can be overwhelming. One could find muramasa easily before getting enough vines, stingers and spores.

Yeah, I know it's not very common, but there are melee weapons which are effectively range weapons. Why not a magic weapon that is basically melee?

I'd say the fiery greatsword is normally done last because by the time someone has done skeletron found the muramasa and made the blade of grass you will have found a shadow key so then had found a reason to go and explore the underworld and whole doing find an obsidian skin so instead you now get as much help stone as you can and obsidian to craft the molten armour set and with the rest of the bars you make the fiery greatsword and realise you should make the nights edge idk if I'm wrong but that seems the way I do it I also didn't even need to type this and i only realised that after typing it all out 🤠

I got my kid into it yesterday and had to pry him away from the game once I gave him the basics to do

• use the pickaxe to get ore and dirt, but it's also used to destroy the items or walls you placed down

• you have NPC you need to <invite>. They arrive one at a time and some will only show up after a few events/triggers

• the home you want to start with needs 2 walls, 1 roof , and you need to place a chair down. You break down 3 wall blocks and craft a door. Place the door. Place down a workbench (uses wood 🪵) to make wood <backdrop> walls. This will replace the empty sky, with a background wall.

Once that it is done, there is a little house 🏠 icon on the right side of the UI, when you click that you will see a few icons. One of them is the little NPC dude that you spawn with. Assign him the new house by clicking his face, then the.house background wall. Voila, he's been invited.

Everything after that is trying to make new things like a bed 🛌, which will require you to explore for cobweb to make silk, but you'll also need iron ore to make a sawmill that will allow you make a loom.

The wiki is really well made too, once you get the hang of it, you'll never stop

..and then you'll come in years later after you have children of your own and wonder where time went

Gang I need some help:
I am looking for a mod that ONLY gives infinite potion buffs on a 30 potion stack. I want this mod to work with calamity mod and also not interfere with Terrarias limit of 22 buffs at a time (unless you know a mod that disables this and actually works)

I dont like Fargos mutants, Lui AFK, or Quality of Terraria because they add way too much. I am currently considering using Alchemist NPC since im pretty sure they add the feature of infinite buffs at 30, and as long as I disable every NPC I can get what im looking for. HOWEVER I don't know if the 22 buff limit terraria has interferes with this, or if Alchemist NPC disables it itself.

Not really. You can farm waterleaf pretty easily with planters, you just need a bucket of water for obsidian and fireblossoms can also be farmed with planters but you have to kill WoF first. And once you beat WoF you don't really need Obsidian skin potions anymore

I hope they'll add a summoner equivalent to Shroomite, spectre or turtle/beetle armour at some point. Summoner armour progression is weird.
The other three classes use armour that's a natural progression from chlorophyte, but for summoner you have to get your post-plantera armour from an event or a merchant. It's really odd in terms of itemization.

For me it still feels undercooked. Like the so called throwing weapon class that they dropped at some point.
Except they actually made something of an effort to make it a proper class, but not really because it's still missing a lot of progression options and you're probably just going to use a normal weapon in addition to your whip and summons anyway.

They should really give you a craftable summoning staff pre-hardmode and a whip pre-zoologist

Early game you need to rely on RNG to get started as a summoner, whereas with the other classes you can get used to them pretty quickly and get a feel for them throughout the course of pre-hardmode.

at least in my eyes, summoner is just completely not worth it unless you're playing with some sort of mod that adds better weapons and armor. maybe the end-game result of summoner is good, but the entirety of pre-hardmode summoner and mech bosses summoner just sucks. straight up

also one last gripe is that I don't get why old one's army is better than stardust armor in some cases

It's difficult to play, early game is more exhausting than other classes, pre-HM has overall very limited options which makes the grind boring, HM is pretty much where most issues shine though

To give credit, limitation issues are gone post mech but that doesn't change the difficulty of the class. Being dodge based also means bigger arenas, tiring after having built the 4th one in your world

Hello, i have a question i'm thinking of playing Terraria with my friends however i was wondering how does Multiplayer work. Is the world we play on only playable when a host is online or is it like a server thing that any one of us can access at any time? Also, is there some kind of damage scaling involved with bosses when playing with multiple characters? (so any boss wont become like a cakewalk)

Normally when you host a world it is shut down when the host leaves (or if you're using the built in servers for terraria it is shut down when you close terraria), there is many different hosting sites however like tshock that let you host a server for however long you like. For the 2nd question yes bosses scale with added players

I need somewhere to vent about this. So I wanted to get the papyrus scarab to get more minions, but to do that I needed the necrotic scroll which is dropped by the mourning wood. I didn't have enough hallowed bars for the pumpkin moon emblem. So to get some I had to fight a mechanical boss. But to do THAT I needed to grind stuff out. eventually I got the hallowed bars and crafted the emblem, but I didnt get the necrotic scroll 😐 I just wasted 40 minutes of my life for nothing
