Terraria is a bit like minecraft : an old game that built up on the players knowing what do to from the start so it's normal if you feel lost.
Overall Terraria's "end" is to defeat the final boss called Moon Lord. To do that you will have to unlock harmode first by digging down until you find the Underworld (it's Hell basically with a lot of lava). Once down there you have to throw a voodoo doll (that is a loot from one of the enemies in here) in lava to make the boss spawn.

I would advise you to start little by little, digging minerals and going to the guide for info

Hello hello! Does anyone know where I can post potential ideas/requests for 1.4.5 that the devs might see? I'd like to ask if it would be possible to update PC controller support to match console and mobile controller options. Currently, the PC controller support is very limited--for example, you can't set multi-key keybinds, like LB+Up to zoom in (or LB+down to zoom out). You also cannot bind the Start/Select buttons (+ and - on Switch), which makes opening the menu almost impossible--the keybind options don't even tell you how to open the menu once you've finally gotten it open somehow.

I don't personally have mobility issues, but I know that having solid controller support is also a way to make a game more accessible to those that do. We know that these keybind options exist, because they are in both the console and mobile versions of the game. I'd love to make a case to Re-Logic about how this could improve the experience for a wide range of players, and would open the PC experience to almost many more individuals.

maybe you just dont have the right gear, mages do really good against every boss on their own, co op basically just buffs that by making them able to just stay back and do all that damage they do on their own without having to worry about dodging

but were mana stars dropping really that important for mages?

how do you fight bosses that don't summon mobs to kill?

nope, i've played mage solo and multiplayer, when mana star statues, mana regen potions, star in a bottles, and the mana flower, mana stars become insignificant like the moment you get a natures gift and a decent ammount of mana potions

just 1 of the ways to recover mana without mana sickness so it can be noticeable

but yeah just chugg potions or use mana regen potions and it's fine. DPS is still good for mage even with some mana sickness

especially with spectre armor, the mask goes CRAZY the dps boost is insane

not for the moonlord though, the tentacle prevents you from healing with the hood basically the entire fight, but against things like duke or golem the hood is godly

trueee, i've played all 4 classes and mage was the funnest, summoner was good but cant beat mage, playing melee i just felt like a rock with enough braincells to press W A S D enough to win, and ranger needed some dodging but overall it was like the normal terraria experience
