it's better to have good movement and not get hit than have more damage and not be able to escape hits
there are also four difficulties you can choose when starting a world
journey is essentially creative mode from minecraft but you have to unlock the items you want to duplicate
normal is the standard mode
expert is where things hit harder, but you get unique loot from bosses and RNG items from common enemies are generally more common
master is where things hit a lot harder, but you get trophies from the bosses. no real advantages other than it's more challenging and might be more fun for some people
i PERSONALLY suggest expert
i think normal is too easy and i really like the unique boss loot, some of it makes the game easier than normal imo

you usually spawn bosses on your own somehow (whether intentionally or not) and randomly spawning ones have certain conditions for spawning and also say it in chat and give you a minute or so to prepare yourself

bosses are normally that big or destroy a wide area?

bosses don't (typically) destroy things
but they can kill npcs
npcs respawn but it's just annoying
bosses are also not (typically) BIG, but usually require lots of space to run away from them and dodge them
they usually fly and chase you pretty hard
like i said, mobility is important in this game
you're gonna need to dodge and run around a lot
getting hit usually is something you'd want to avoid
especially in my case since i'm a summoner main and i get like no defense
if you play melee you'd get more defense but i like summoner because it takes a lot of skill to space yourself right and dps properly
lots of people hate summoner because "ooh it takes no skill you just have summons to fight for you" and those people have clearly never played summoner (or at least properly)

Firstly go where you wanna place him and then when you go to the house icon his little head should be in one of the slots, just click on it and the banner will move, signalizing he moved
It takes a good minute for NPC’s to move, but the best way to make it quick is just to go off screen during the night, if you have your minimap it’ll show he moved almost instantly

If i were you ill block the left of the houses just so that the npcs(especially tinkerer) do not wander to the left and fulfill the crimson biome criteria, just in case
