Some of the most fun I've had in Terraria was the first time playing Overhaul.

The changes made to melee are very fun with a decently in-the-middle skill floor and a really high skill ceiling.

If you want to preserve your world the most effective way, don’t even bother at early hardmode. Get gear, get strong then once you have the good tools, then you start cleaning the world

Digging diagonally is a bad way to contain it. All that effort digging through the world when you can clean it quicker with a clentaminator during normal progression

The most minimal effort you can do is exert no effort at all. Realistically speaking, the worst your biome can spread before getting a clentaminator is at least 20-30 blocks from the origin at most. And it’s not like grinding for money is hard. Set up an afk volcano farm or fight some bosses. Grind for a discount card, you’ll also get money doing that.
