Also “New” is relative. If you’re talking about experience with the game, anything less than 100 hours might as well be brand new. If you’re talking about the current world/run you’re in currently, new is even more relative as you could give an experienced player near nothing at the beginning of hardmode and they’d probably be able to catch up within an hour or 2.

Just joined. Wow I’ve never seen a server this big before! It’s kinda overwhelming tbh 😅 I remember vividly when I first tried terraria when it launched on Xbox 360 in 2013. I managed to somehow forget about the game around 2014/2015. The game has changed so much since then! I was reminded of the game when people were complaining about those recent/lack of updates on Minecraft. Decided to give it a try and I am happy that it is even BETTER than I remember it being all those years ago. I’m a bit sad I wasn’t there for the “end of terraria” update. It doesn’t feel real that this game is “complete” now. With a proper end boss and everything. Thanks to all the devs who have worked so hard on it!

You have all the special/challenge seeds like drunk, for the worthy, and zenith.
If you want a self imposed challenge. X weapon type only, such as bows or yo-yos. You can install mods and do double boss challenge etc. or you can do a build and fish challenge where each NPC has to have a unique themed house etc.
My next playthrough is probably going to be a SMP duo soul link, where if one player dies, the other one dies. We are working on a server side plugin similar to the mod “Shared Life”. Main difference is you don’t share life, just two characters are linked for death. The run will be 20 players or 10 duos. Should be fun.

Oh boy holy man... That was a bug back in the Desktop 1.1 version of the game that was patched. It allowed each of the 6 tiles of the sprite to act as an individual cool down.

When I had terraria on my PS4 in like 2018 I played and played and made friends and all was fun, now people join, spend 10 minutes mining and then dip, like why is it so hard to find people that are interested in this game and want to play it and make friends

Yep. There are servers that reset and run for 2 week periods with 20 ish players. Though by the time you clear the playthrough there are maybe half that left that beat the game.

Well, it’s not bad in those servers. All 20 players are usually pretty active for pre hardmode. You just start losing people during hardmode because those servers are almost always mastermode.

Depends on when you do it really. In prehardmode its pretty easy to trap them and kill them with lave.
Hardmode you can trap one of them, the second one is like a wyvern but slightly faster. And the last one actually is a mini boss.

They are meant to be hard though, as they all drop fairly good drops for when you can get them in progression.
