Eol is the easiest boss to learn the attack pattern of, (yes even easier than duke fishron) so learn her patterns and learn how to dodge them. She always has an order for wich attack she starts with and wich attack she does next and its always the same. So learn her pattern and when you know wich attack shes going to do next then you can easily dodge her attacks.

Duke is super technical, and much harder to beat than cultist, pillars, and moon lord, I think.

Just like Empress of Light, you can clear him without getting hit at all, but it will be a lot of trial and error.

I would rather use a yoyo, javelin, or shadowflame knife if I am dedicating to melee.

If you are open to "whatever it takes", then Deadalus stormbow+holy arrows dunks on destroyer, which allows you to make a megashark.
Megashark makes the next two mech bosses significantly easier.

True Night's Edge is quite strong. I almost always have that for Plantera.

Terra blade is lovely, but remember that you also have access to vampire knives/scourge of the corruptor when you beat plantera. Both of those are bonkers melee weapons.

Id say the easiest class to get your first win on would be Melee. Stack warding and regen and just outlast everything.

Id say Easy > Hard and when I say hard it largly just because of skill expression opportunities, less how difficult the class it to survive on.

Melee > Gunner w/Chloro Bullets > Magic=Archer > Summoner.

If you want your first moonlord kill, def go melee. Especially on expert if you gear it right moonlord might as well no deal dmg.
