Just in case if your computer is slow

Then you should be going at a normal pace

Should be self-explanitory But, frame skip when off, lets your game's framerate not skip any frames, to have a clean and stable framerate running at your computers speed/hz (refresh rate)
When it is on, it will skip the "irrelivant frames" while your game is running, is technically turning off V-Sync

Frame Skip is just V-Sync except quite loyal when it comes to slower computers, because it can slow down your game if the frame skip is turned off and will run the amount of Hz/frames per second that your monitor can take

That is more likely because you have a powerful computer.

so i'm playing master mode on the for the worthy seed and i'm fighting the brain of cthulu.

i've got a decent arena and i manage to get him half way through his second phase, it's at that point where he seems to go enraged and dash frantically dealing lots of damage and killing me very swiftly. i should also make note that i am playing with calamity but i doubt that would effect him too much since if i recall calamity only effects their own bosses.

does anyone know if this is normal behaviour and i just have to get good or is it classing me as having left the crimson? the whole arena is underground crimson and i used powder to make 100% certain i can't leave the biome so that shouldn't be the problem

when do you guys feel like you enjoy the game the most? Is it during the leveling process? Or when all the bosses are defeated, sort of a "the game really begins when you finish the main story" kinda game?

im mostly having fun doing random challenges and min maxing my world
but taking the game slow can multiply your fun by a lot
like not rushing from king slime to skeletron in one go and one gear

Whatever you want really. You can get demon scythe pre-boss, and also water bolt (though that one might require you dying a few times).. Grey zap is pre-boss I think. Diamond staff and thunder zapper are also good choices.
Boss you start with is up to you. Don't really have any reason to kill KS, EoC, EoW/BoC, or QB. Skeletron kind of the only useful one for mages specifically, and only because magic missile and flamelash are pseudo-locked behind it (you can also hoik into dungeon, try to get a golden key from a pot, and open a golden chest for a chance to get either, so...) BoC fine for dodge chance, EoC fine for dash, but that's it. Bee Gun isn't worth it.

I mean arrows are dependent sorta, a generalized arrow would be like ichor or cursed arrows. The conversion only makes it flaming arrows which are pretty outclassed at the stage you get phoenix. If you're against Plantera I recommend holy arrows
