I had the same problem, i do not know why it happens BUT it seems that it was fixed when i turned on frame skip.

If you have a potato pc like i do i'd reccomend going into the task manager and putting the priority on high/real time and setting the lightning on white

Also, if you're on Tmod i'd install the cheat sheet/hero's mod for debug control

As in does it reset the world as it was when first generated? No, when you break altars it will spawn ore over the world replacing blocks(Stone and Prehardmode ores) as needed.

World evil and hallow are added overtop the world in a V shape but they only transform blocks (ex Stone turns to ebonstone in a corrupted world)

hey so I beat skeletron prime somehow but I cant seem to beat the twins or the destroyer. I have a melee build with good mobility thanks to my arena and shield of cthulu. or a ranged build with a longer runway along the top of my arena to make up a lack in as much mobility.

with the twins I keep getting followed too closely and can't manouver around them to go the other way with range but I only have one decent ranged melee weapon in the shadowflame dagger.
with the destroyer I just get encircled and cant really move anywhere no matter which build I use.

I don't want to use the skybox for the destroyer cause it feels kinda cheaty, and I came close to offing spaz but kept getting sniped by ret because of my ranged lack of mobility as mentioned before.... any tips on weapons, accessories or armour??
im using titanium armour & terraspark for both builds, butterfly wings for melee and cenyx wings for ranged. For melee I'm also using the magma stone and skeletron glove with as mentioned the shadowflame knife and excalibur, and for ranged I got ankh, magnet flower to make use of golden shower and other magic items, as well as the star veil and molten quiver with the deadelous stormbow as my main weapon of choice occasionally switching to the uzi (used to replace my undertaker).

I know we have that lore that's like "ohh the Cyborg Cthulhu wasn't done being rebuilt and this was the last step."

But they could easily just have the supposed spine part be unfinished in the Crimson version of the lore
