Hi Arthur,
I see you're having trouble getting through the Corruption biome in Terraria. Here are a few tips that might help:
- Bring a good weapon. The Corruption is home to some tough enemies, so you'll need a weapon that can deal a lot of damage. A good choice is the Night's Edge, which can be crafted from the Shadowflame Knife and the Muramasa.
- Use buffs. There are a number of buffs that can help you survive in the Corruption. For example, the Ironskin potion will increase your defense, and the Regeneration potion will heal you over time.

You can practice and find/make better equipment and potions to get to the altar easier; you can find the eye summons in random chests underground; if you wait it will eventually spawn on its own

there's some loot pools where one of every item is guaranteed like sky chests but if you're looking for water walking boots, you can't know for sure if they're in your world before finding them

There’s a bunch of different mods, QOL means quality of life and doesn’t affect the whole pace of play. Others like Calamity are a massive mod pack that adds a ton of stuff to the game, which you just learn about by playing them. I’d recommend starting with “vanilla” terraria, and at least beating the game before trying major mod packs

You have to click on the recipe result, rather than on the crafting table in the menu

make sure you're not trying to craft from the guide but your inventory instead, as well.
the guide shows you what can be crafted with materials you currently have, which looks near identical to the crafting menu that you'd find upon pressing the esc key

They're basically summon pets but they don't move. Get accessories and gear that boost their damage and summon count. Tavernkeep and the OOA event particularly have those items.
