In early hardmode demon wings/ angel wings would be good. Souls of light/night can be obtained by killing the respective biome’s mobs in the cavern layer with a 1/5 or 9/25 chance in expert and up, you can also obtain 2-5 souls in biome crates via fishing.Feathers are from harpies and souls of flight are from wyverns, id advise using boots to kill wyverns.

I'd suggest constructing a few extra towns around the map, including a bunker in the relatively safe hell in case stuff gets out of hand, protect against the already existing corruption, explore floating islands (you'd get BTFO'd by wyverns in early hardmode so gl if you forgot that), and i guess get a molten pickaxe?

no, if you're on steam then it might be in your steam cloud which I would advise moving it off of. Steam cloud is super annoying with Terraria and I just turn it off, before doing so it is recommend just to make a copy of your wld file just in case and store it in a secure location like your hard drive
