Huh, so I managed to fix it. Since the machine I'm using is a laptop. It has integrated graphics with the Nvidia GPU.

I normally have it set to always use the Nvidia GPU, I went into my control panel and switched it to choose automatically and the integrated graphics both. And either option works! It looks like in the case of laptops it might be the choice of GPU, or something favors integrated.

Haha. Right?? I made a master mage 7 months ago. Got slightly into hard mode and then got worn out. Now I've put 70 more hours in within the past few weeks and am now just past golem. When summoner first got updated for 1.4 I also tried to complete that but never even reached Plantera on that. My schedule is also inconsistent so mutliplayer isn't too easy to get into in a way that I can progress as much as others so I've never felt inclined to complete a playthrough by peer pressure.

Absolutely. Without getting in a VC, there really seems like no point. Only seems viable if you're looking to build relationships in the gaming community specifically around Terraria.

Which might serve to increase motivation in completing a playthrough or being more consistent than taking half a year but I couldn't say since I've not done so and everyone is different.

You can have multiple loadouts on same character at same time too. So you can quick switch between them using the F1, f2,f3 keys
