It's just about knowing when to use it, Moon Lord's death ray is a good example because it very predictable and you can see it charge up before he unleashes it. Out of this attack though I can't say I ever use it for boss fights, it's more of a something to use when you're too lazy to walk around something, just remember the chaos state debuff and only teleport while it's not active.

No, the only good use hooks have in hardmode is flight reset which is achieved by jump cancelling allowing you to keep your momentum, the hook of dissonance teleports you to a tile killing all your speed

the minishark isn't really good at all, you'd be better off with a higher damage weapon like a molten fury

also you aren't getting any ranged benefit from molten armor but I understand you wanting more defense

the best thing you can do for when queen bee dashes is to use a high double jump like sandstorm in a bottle or blizzard in a bottle. if you have frog leg or amphibian boots that will further improve the jump speed and height making it easier to dodge

play melee class for your whole playthrough i guess, most of the swords in the crafting would be used extensively as they are the best swords at their progression level, and solar eclipses are a pain to wait for, so have something else to do in the meantime so that you are being productive while waiting for a solar eclipse. (As you need a broken hero sword, which drops from Mothron)
