just make a hole big enough so enemies can't jump out of and place 1 bucket of lava, most of the pirate enemies can't walk/shoot through walls so this is completely safe and will make the event really easy

In most games full screen gives better fps, but since terraria is capped at 60 it doesn't matter. If you have 2 monitors windowed borderless lets your mouse go out of the game without alt+tab

That is a problem. Barring the D/E bows or Stake Launcher (which is boosted by bow damage boosts), you're mostly using Shotbow or maybe Pulse Bow.
