Not really, most of them are pretty self explanatory on where to go to get the fish.

As you reach certain milestones on your character you will receive a mount, fishing armor, a bottomless bucket, and the best fishing pole in the game. As well as at random receiving fishing accessories. All of which make fishing much easier.

To make it even easier you can craft fishing and sonar potions but generally are not needed.

Sleeping in a bed speeds up time to do more quests more often, and in hard mode the Sun dial and moon dial will skip to the next day and night respectively once every 7 days. Further speeding up how fast you can do them. The dials also reset early every time there is a blood moon or solar eclipse

Worms spawn frequently in the rain and can be crafted with stars for decent bait. In hallow lightning bugs spawn commonly at nigh near town, good easy bait. And lastly dragon flies spawn around reeds in shallow water, commonly in oasis biomes. Not as good but easy to find.

Early morning and late evening will boost your fishing power, and so will rain.

It's quite annoying sometimes, but it's exciting and you have to think a lot about what you're doing. Going back to my late pre-Hardmode Expert Mode world, it feels incredibly inviting after what you have to deal with in GFB.

Should I fight the wall of flesh? When do people normally do that? I think I fucked up my progression because I did a lot of stuff before fighting the first boss and now I have molten tools and armour, nights edge, imp staff, blue moon, molten fury, Phoenix blaster, terraspark boots, feral Claws, tiger climbing gear, sharkron balloon, and cobalt shield. I would like to upgrade my feral Claws but I don't know if mimics even spawn in pre hm so I can get the power glove.
