It's not so bad if you dig it around instead of straight to the Underworld, and have a lot of mining speed boosts. You can also use Gravedigger's Shovel for soft blocks and Bone Pickaxe for faster mining.

They do well as highlights, since they glow slightly, which makes them draw brighter in low lighting than neighboring tiles, and the walls work nicely as slabs

ok I just tested and it's pretty consistent while moving up and down, because you'll often just end up dashing away from duke's dash path anyway, but rarely it does put you in an awkward spot. So yea, it's less consistent but still very consistent.

Of all the bosses with odd methods of defeat, Duke is probably the least problematic.
I've always enjoyed it, it's enough of a challenge to make sure the player is moving and knows the attacks, and it generally doesn't feel like it's got any nonsense with like, random projectile spawns.

Other than dodge mechanics functioning as intended until that was removed, and new liquid mechanics working as intended until that was also removed, never really thought about trying to cheese boss.

The dodges setup is a reasonable change, because completing a boss flawlessly, which is what terraprisma is a reward for, doesn't involve getting hit and avoiding damage with dodges

Let me establish some conditions here, to help my case:
- Do you agree that an "attack" constitutes as any form of damage dealt against the player? This includes NPC contact damage, projectiles, the environment in the form of spikes and lava, and fall damage.
If you don't think environmental damage should be counted, there's a whole other issue here to be resolved first
- Do you also agree that EoL and DG are NPCs, which damage the player using one of the methods above? Namely, contact damage, and projectiles.

- Then. do you agree that the effects listed on a piece of equipment, or on a buff, should be fully representative of their actual effect?
- Next, do you agree that the affected accessories, buffs, or other equipment have tooltips that mention that the player can dodge attacks?
This is a true statement; all 3 things here state either "dodge attacks," "dodge an attack," or "dodge the next attack," end of story

The player is given a misleading tooltip, which leads to spending excess time or resources on trying to use it creatively (creative solutions are great honestly, more on that later), only to find out through the wiki or from another player -- not the game itself -- that it doesn't work, and again, game has no explanation why.
In the event you disagree with the remaining condition above, I can draw the conclusion here that you don't like giving the player accurate information. So I need to ask, why?
(Bit on creative problem solving: players seeing something that gives them an advantage is really nice, and especially if it's a sort of niche area, it can feel very rewarding. It doesn't outright win anything, but it can make sections easier)

Sure, but BoC still has 1/6 chance at DG, and there are players (used to be players I guess, since it's been mostly phased out) that actively went after bone key with later gear, just because it made it an easier encounter. Asking there because terraria chat is a bit wild and its easy to lose messages

it was especially important to protect the jungle because corruption used to be unable to corrupt jungle grass, so it converted jungle grass to regular grass then corrupted it
and plantera is a boss necessary for progression
so if you didn't contain it, given enough time, the corruption could take over the entire jungle, and when trying to be converted back, it'd convert to regular grass instead of jungle grass and mud
so basically
it could lock you out of the game's progression
1.4.4 however, made corruption able to be converted back into jungle
so that is no longer as big of a concern
don't get me wrong it's still important to not let the corruption take over stuff but as of now it is less of an issue
