@strong epoch you can do your typical platform arena with campfires, star in bottles, heart in bottles, sunflowers, and etc. Adding a few teleporteds help, and putting some platforms higher up in the sky help a lot because his fight is very aerial based. fargo souls has masochist mode which is unlocked by beating the final boss of the mod in eternity mode, which is a difficulty added by the mod and it's a massive step up from master. You should ideally play eternity + expert, as eternity + master is too unbalanced and really will not make for a fun experience. after you beat the final boss of the mod in eternity mode, you can activate master mode while having eternity mode active which will activate masochist mode

Well when you get punished by having to restart the entire game, it makes you more engaged and cautious. It also makes you rethink or retry strategies for your next run. So restarting is never the same but improved each run. You creep further and further each time and the pure satisfaction of your progress is enough to push you further next time.
