Hold onto that Poison Staff, though I'd use Sky Fracture, Crystal Serpent, Spirit Flame or Meteor Staff for the bosses.
It's alright at this stage, but not the best. It's once you beat the Mechs that you can upgrade it, where it becomes very valuable.

you can place actuators down by hand, then wire them to a switch and then flip the switch to actuate them, or you cna make yourself an actuation rod and actuate the blocks that have the actuation block on them and u can actuate it without wire
