You need obsidian AND the little hellstone balls

For defense and melee damage, Molten. For ranged users, Necro. For Mages, Jungle/Ancient Cobalt, Meteor or the Wizard set with Mystic Robe and Meteor Leggings. For Summoners, Obsidian Armor.

If you want damage boosts to all classes and a nice set bonus, Crimson or Shadow armor (the latter doesn't boost summons though) is the best choice.

No. It's designed in such a way that the fight has to be beaten without getting hit, and she now bypasses dodge mechanics like Holy Protection to kill you instantly regardless.

If all damage is dealt at daytime (hence, the boss is beaten enraged without getting hit), she will drop a unique summon weapon called the Terraprisma.

Yes. You can create an artificial Crimson in Hardmode and use it to gain materials to summon the Brain of Cthulhu, or play on a Drunk world.

The Dryad will sell seeds of the opposite evil while in a Graveyard in Hardmode.

Under normal conditions, the Dungeon Guardians don't spawn unless you're behind natural Dungeon Brick Walls and in the Underground layer or above. Since the Dungeon entrance in a normal world has no Dungeon Walls around it, you should be safe. On secret world seeds where the Dungeon generates underground, Dungeon Guardians only appear if you move far enough below where the Old Man spawns, so it's still possible to interact with him.

Here, Dungeon enemies spawn normally on the Drunk world and the Old Man can still be interacted with. DG's do not appear, and if they did, they would override the normal Dungeon enemies.

You can instead mine around the Dungeon and interact with him from there, but this isn't supposed to happen.

DGs should not appear above the Old Man.

so the community there and the devs still hate whips

• damage reduction (+5%)
• set bonus projectile speed

You have a damage and crit difference of 4% each, which is like, half of a modifier, maybe. Hallow armour also has the 10% melee speed, which, for most weapons will just straight up be a 10% dps increase (unless it has special rules for speed modifier). The process of making and using chloro just to decraft and use bars after a boss or two just isn't worth time or effort for what will perform about the same

What you want for ML is to dodge attacks, either by moving out of the way, or by chance.
Things that trigger on hit are inherently less helpful than proactive effects like more movespeed. Don't get me wrong I like thorns-esque effects, but for something that will deal half your HP in one blow for example, the mobility or extra damage is more helpful I think

Mobility is key. Build a line of blocks on the surface of the Ocean, with 2-4 rows of Platforms spaced far apart. Make sure not to exit the Ocean to avoid enraging him. Use movement speed buffs and dash accessories to evade Fishron more easily and take note of his attack pattern. For Phase 3, use the Gelatinous Pillion to avoid his charges entirely.

I have a bad habit of creating new characters and world (and even achievements) every time I load up Terraria. And therefore, I'm not able to progress in my playthroughs. Has anyone got any advice for me?

I see where you're coming from and I've had the same myself sometimes. I've had the game since 2015 and I've got 1,240 hours on it. I guess sometimes you either just need a break from the game, or maybe just stick on some music/something to watch while you play and maybe you'll find yourself having more fun or being more relaxed

Between Queen Slime, The Twins, The Destroyer and Duke Fishron, who should I fight first?

I'd do Queen Slime first, then either:
The Twins if you're a Summoner or Mage
The Destroyer if you're a Melee user or Ranger
Duke if you want a much easier time with the rest of Hardmode at the cost of having to endure a much more difficult fight.

honestly you should be able to change ores using an alchemy table. the concept of "equivalent exchange", changing iron into lead, gold into platinum and vice versa using alchemy
