You don't have to worry about Alrars spreading evil anymore as of 1.4.4.

You also don't have to worry too much about the spread in older versions since the Clentaminator can be used to clean it up before it becomes too big of a problem, even if you don't know where it is, since it has a large range. If you are playing modded or legacy console and are really worried about it, you can always just fish for crates instead.

worry about the spread later, you're on a time crunch

you kill 1 mech and you can get the clentaminator

you kill plantera and spread speed is halved
