That was the only boss I used her for, and it did more harm than good because I would have survived just fine and forgot to set my spawn, causing him to rampage through my house and me to take a ton of damage. Still, I managed to heal and win.

I'd say personally you have quite a bit of room for trial and error since you have 15 summons. I'd try it, think about what happened, and if you fail, make some more preparations. Keep doing that until you beat it, you got this

You could use Cursed Darts instead. Fire them diagonally, and the Cursed Flames that rain down will hit and pierce the Destroyer. Take down Probes as they have a high chance of dropping Recovery Hearts, fly around the Destroyer's laser barrage and avoid the head at all costs.
