I actually reorganized the entire folder on my end, cuz I feel like the sorting was a bit annoying. Instead of breaking them into folders by progression level, it's divided by class since it makes it easier to navigate to the next image for my class by hitting next in the gallery.

Melee is great in the early game. I mean the rework to the Fiery greatsword (Now called Volcano) makes it a very powerful weapon, obtainable as early as you can kill the world evil boss and go to hell. After killing skeletron, the rework for Night's Edge makes it viable up through the mechs.

If you like ranged, that's fine, but melee easily outclasses ranged at nearly every point in progression. The only time ranged actually outclasses melee is pre-boss, pre-beerclops, and pre-evil, and some people straight up ignore those stages and fight the evil boss first, myself included.

The only reason ranged outclasses at that point is because there isn't much for melee in those categories except true-melee weapons, which are kinda sucky.

And yoyos which can actually be pretty good if you know how to use them, but the skill bar for effective use makes them bad choices for rooks.

Not really. I've always loved the glass-cannon playstyle, and melees have far more survivability than ranged, especially at later stages in the game with things like Paladin Shields, flesh knuckles and the things you make with them, turtle/beetle/solar armor's extra defensive capabilities, etc.

Iirc, the largest demographic for sandbox games is casual players and players seeking a more relaxing experience. That said, modern sandbox games seem to be slowly shifting away from that demographic and marketing towards more dedicated players lately.

The guy who designed it did so as a joke and made it so ridiculously hard that it was meant to be impossible. It took ages before anyone could get through the first phase. I was talking about the "key of light" which takes 15 soul of light to make. If you put the key in a chest it spawns a biome mimic

so that's another way to farm them

you can afk soul of lights without dying then have a bunch of soul to farm biome mimics with

or just half afk and watch out for the metal "ding" sound that biome mimics make when hit, I used to do that too

Portal Mech has a video of a completely afk biome mimic farm if you did want to see that just look up "Creating an AFK Biome Mimic Farm in Terraria" (you could do teleporters instead now because teleporters are prehardmode)

It's mostly a matter of adapting to his attack pattern, but he can also cover quite a lot of distance with his dashes and can hit hard if you're not prepared or are playing with a squishier class. Additionally, his 2nd phase 'Nadoes home in on you very quickly and try to hit you, while being very large themselves and firing many Sharkrons.

They no longer generate evil or Hallow in 1.4.4, but shouldn't the general spread blocking mod also stop altar generation? Is this what you're referring to?

I don't want to stop general spread, just altar spread. Tmod is still running in 1.4.3.6, so altars still spread evil.

Oh. I would have thought the aforementioned mod would have an option to stop specific types of spread.

I don't see a mod called "general spread blocking" or anything similar.

And all the other ones either outright stop it, or have an ingame toggle to turn all spread on or off. The problem with that is that altar spread doesn't work like normal spread, it doesn't infect blocks it outright replaces blocks instead. At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
