does golem get way faster

because looking at the code it seems like it does

I did multiplayer back in 2016 with a buddy of mine and his brother but they were hardcore into it like I was. We set up fishing areas and all the likes. He's the one who taught me about the corrupt goldfish plat farm.

I made a program to calculate the aggression level per amount players, and then output them as point coordinates in cmd that I could copy paste into desmos to plot the amount of players in x vs the agression value in Y, I wrote extra code to interpolate those points and then I got a curve like this

the game checked if the aggression number was over 1k and if so set it to 1k

you need nearly 1500 players to get 1k agression

and you can't have more than 255 players in a server

Well thanks for the info. I'm going to be upgrading back to my 1gbps/1gbps fiber here soon (and I know that's overkill) but I thought it would be fun to host a server.

Also... if you get it figured out the Tier 1 Eternia events are a great way to make money btw.

Especially if you can kill 3-4 Dark Mages at a time.

It doesn't always go that way and I'm trying to figure out why sometimes I can only get two and sometimes I get 4.

I stack my sentries on the side she comes on and I contain the other side until she does spawn. Once she spawns I book it on my Golf Cart and start thrashing on her. Sometime I get two down. Sometimes three. Sometimes four.

I think one of my favorite implementations since 2016 has been the block swap feature.

I guess it's unfair for me to say because I started playing the game when classic was the only mode, but yeah idk man when I see people slaughter bosses with no prep and go "well that was anticlimatic" it hurts me a bit

This was a while ago now but when pewdiepie played terraria he kinda just breezed through classic pre-hardmode and boss fights were a bit too easy

Yeah I feel like that's the thing because the game gets harder and then its not fun because you actually need to prep a bit more lol

and classic prehardmode gets you too used to pretty much just being able to fight stuff as long as you have enough health

Eh, its souls give no weapons to Mage or Summoner, so even if it is prone to cheese, beating Twins first gives exclusive gear that's most relevant to those classes, specifically Rainbow Rod and Optic Staff, and it has its own cheese strats as well.

I personally did all 3 Mechs one after another, Prime first since that was the one I didn't get the summon for.

Yeah, along with Nimbus Rod, GS and eventually Magnet Sphere. My main weapons would be Sky Fracture and Meteor Staff, then craft Rainbow Rod for its guiding and homing capabilities.

I presume it's because most of them play Crimson for Golden Shower, but you can just make an artificial Crimson, and besides, Corruption has Vilethorn for the early game.

You could also use Hoik cheese and spam Explosive Traps and Flameburst.

I mean, most prefer the vibe in general, as well as Vampire Knives and Ichor in general.

I'm partial to the Corruption since that was the first one I encountered, but both have nice items, music tracks, enemies and bosses.

You do have Flinx Fur Coat for an early armor, Flinx or Finch Staff for your early summon, Snapthorn as your whip, then you get Obsidian Armor after the Evil boss. I think it's in a fine position nowadays. I actually think it's a little easier to get going than Mage since Wand of Sparking is mediocre at best and grinding for either Diamond Staff or Demon Scythe feels annoying for me at this point.

You're also most likely going to have to grind for full Jungle armor, while early Summoners can just get the head and leg piece of either it or Gold/Platinum armor.

How much of an improvement is it though? Is the projectile trajectory different? The damage barring Frostburn is higher by one.

Eh, on Classic, she doesn't last too long, and the main difference between difficulties barring FTW's speed increase is health here. Running on an Asphalt bridge makes dodging most of her attacks much easier.

in every world (current version). It's always located at jungle side. You have good chances finding it if you just dig downwards at the beach on that side (for small worlds).
There are some ways to pinpoint the location more precise but mostly not need in normal gameplay. You can checkout the Terraria speedrun discord channel for more details.
E.g. for small worlds the position of the floating island containing the balloon is correlated (in most cases) with the depth of the shimmer biome.

or jungle shrine color: the ~brighter they are the deeper you need to dig (stone, wood, metal)
the dungeon color tells something about how close it is to the beach. blue dungeon (close to the ocean), green dungeon, pink dungeon (further away from the beach)

If you really want it there is some cheaty way:
||After killing it the next time keep the treasure bag closed and exit the game the normal way (to save character and world). Also Disable autosave inside the game options. But be careful there can be the chance your world/character gets broken and can't be used again anymore.||

I always overprepare at least in my head. I make sure I have the best of everything. Overbuild NPC housing although I know there are 26 of them. Just get all the good stuff because it doesn't get easier in Hardmode to obtain it.

Anyone else find that they beat moon lord and can't think of any reason to keep playing? Like there's no more bosses, I've beat the game. Sure I could go to expert or master mode but early bosses would be a joke for a character that can beat moon lord and at a certain point I'd get to bosses I have no way of beating because I'm not any good at dodging lol.

I make rectangle box houses for NPC's because I suck at building 😦 new character would just be boring and hardcore i'd lose character before even beating one boss lol. As for multiplayer i'm aussie and noone to play with and very hard to find people who will play at the same time.

tbh i've never really used the bees much since the hellstone one was so quick and easy to get and alot of the time I don't do bee boss before then xD

I find it very sad that you lose your summons as you progress 😦 like you wanna use bees? Nope you're gunna use X hard mode minion and theres no way to make them look like bees

Idk about everyone else but I never wire my world or the like and getting around takes forever. Need to go to dungeon? 10 min run flying or jumping over the mountains in the way.

You can take a relaxing stroll through your world without ever having to move a muscle.

You know what's funny though? In games that allow fast travel (like Skyrim) I don't use it. I only use the carriages.

hell I beat moon lord with obsidian shield equipped because the medicated bandage wouldn't drop for ankh shield and my bags clogged because I was one fishing reward away from a cell phone meaning 5ish slots taken up in inventory lol and crimson/hallowed spread so much I can't fish in the zones needed for quests since there's no jungle or tundra anymore it's corrupted. Plus in hard mode you can't fish without dying to stuff attacking you while you can't attack without cancelling fishing.

The Void Bag essentially doubles your inventory space and is post EoW/BoC

It's where all my info items go before crafting shellphone

It takes Shadow Scales/Brain Tissue and a couple other things.

Just grab either of those and take them to the guide.

You'll see it.

I think one of them is Jungle Spores.

Another neat feature is if your inventory gets full your Void Bag automatically puts items in it if there is room.

And you can even turn off that feature by Right Clicking.

Yo I’m relatively new too. My best suggestion is to make a loooong highway with no blockage and just kill the thing. Stay far ahead of it and use yo-yos and stuff
