You have to do it that way because PC is much stricter with controller inputs than switch, because people have, in the past, sold controllers laced with malware that activates when pressing certain buttons.

Drinking potions all at the same time is very nice for fishing cause 2 potions are 8 minutes and 1 is 4 minutes so it lines up really nicely if you use the Buff hotkey

That's not the reason it's not on PC, plenty of games allow for multiple button binds. And it's easy to implement.

It's just that PC and Switch terraria have different dev teams and they don't have a standard for control binding between the teams.

You were doing OOA so I should tell you a bout a nearly useless mage weapon that's basically only good for OOA and invasions. The clinger staff. It makes a stationary wall of cursed flames that has so much knock back it's basically impossible for things to walk through it. You put it in front of an OOA portal and almost can forget that side exists

Best thing to do when new is to just dig down and explore. And I mean dig far down, like half way down your world. Look for ores, chests, and hearts.

To get more NPCs to spawn in you will need houses with doors, background walls, torches, tables, and chairs.

is there a way to see if your high enough top find skyware chests? im currently fishing in a sky lake but i cant find any skyware chests

You probably aren't digging deep enough, like you have to dig pretty deep in this game

If you've been fishing for a while and dont have any damselfish try moving to a higher pool

There's always a hallowed chest. There are parts of the dungeon that aren't openly connected to the main dungeon though, look for destructible wall blocks and keep exploring.

Use rope or platforms to get down

You want to find a lot of rope first

Dig dig dig. That's really all there is. Then, once you've done enough digging, craft and fight.
