I got an amazing idea. In one of your current playthroughs or you next playthrough that you start you should go out of your way to reject any standard building materials and go out of you way to use stuff you've never built with before. Like stucco, moss blocks, aetherite bricks, slime blocks, metal bricks, and dare I say pumpkin or martian blocks.

When you apply that restriction to a playthrough you get some very interesting results in what you find you are able to craft with stuff like moss, clay, ash, shimmer, etc. And you think of whole new ideas you never thought of before.

Reject Wood, stone, sand, and ice!

A really easy way to fight the twins is with a really long platform and a unicorn while using a ranged weapon.

Well the storm bow isn't what it used to be, dart guns with cursed darts are far more effective at this point. But you don't shoot at the destroyer, you fire over it because cursed darts rain down damaging fragments

I mean if you are directly shooting the destroyer with both, yes. But the fragments the rain down from the curst Darts don't disappear very fast so they stack up quite a nice amount of damaging over a large area that the destroyer has to pass through. Which is why I advocate for firing them into the air. I've seen the destroyer health bar melt as if it was a 1.2 stormbow

It's extremely broad and fast projectile makes it's very good for bashing the eyes without worrying about weapons accuracy or aiming too much while you are also moving around. The projectile fire rate also stacks extremely well with attack speed to an insane degree. Daybreak with attack speed is still nice for the heart as it range is a lot further and you can outrun the eye lasers at that point

You can place the wire as you run at full speed. Never need to slow down, never need to stop.

The time for setup is literally just travel time, which is an expense that is shared with Pylons.

And the teleporters are more versatile, you can do more things with them.

I used to think that way too and that pylons were pointless but they are far better than you might think. I encourage you to try you next playthrough using them and see how it changes how you get around. Between the shellphone, pylons, and return potions you have a lot of options for much shorter teleporter runs.

Also you can teleport to someplace to set up a pylon, you don't have to actually run there like you do with wire.

I get that Mechdusa is supposed to be a horrible abomination that's hard to kill, but it should be easier than the bosses that come after it. If it wasn't, then there'd be no reason to get new gear, you could just use the same gear you already have to beat the game.
