If you really don't want to do them, save in the Angler's house and force close the game upon receiving the reward if it's not what you want.

There is an extremely easy way to get one

Just use sonar potions then you see what's on the line before you pull it in that way you aren't wasting bait

Only pull in crates or the conch, the crates will have a chance to give you a lava proof hook which let's you use any bait in lava

Having full fishing gear and golden fishing pole also helps

You can summon your own Solar Eclipses by going to Jungle Temple and getting solar fragments btw

It might take awhile but you can get some broken swords in no time. I got those 5 out of natural solar eclipses.

Crystal Storm iirc is really good and easy to craft. To get it go to underground hallow and get yourself 20 crystal shards and 15 souls of light. Buy 15 spell tomes from wizard and you are golden.
