if you wanna know which sword you should focus in hardmode, Terra Blade is the one for sure i guess. You'r gonna say "but i need to beat a mech boss" yeah i know, that's why you need to kill twins first with Minishark and decent accessories + potions/food. Once you did that, make a magic harp and the mech worm should be easy, once you did that you can craft the Megashark and kill Skeletron, craft the Terra Blade and you got one of the best sword in the game for a long time.

assuming you got the minishark before hardmode cause WoF, you basically just need to find one ichor or world feeder to make ~600 bullets and you should at least kill the red eye with that making the rest of the fight easy enough if you got no more bullets, should take 5min.
Not saying your advice is bad but just taking more time and rng so not really efficient imo, i mean you need to get your crimson or corruption next to a desert + enough time for this one to be corrupted.

The best armor overall for the fight is probably defensive beetle armor as it gives a 45% reduction in damage taken and has insanely high defense on top of that. It takes a few seconds for the buff to recharge so if you can get to a point where you only get hit once and a while it can help a lot

If you have a rod of discord you can create a much larger arena outside of the golem room and lead him over to it, it makes the fight much easier if you struggle with it. Other than that if you aren't using buff potions I highly recommend you do so as they can turn a hard fight into a very easy one.

Wrath for +10% damage
Rage for +10% crit
Life force for +20% max HP
Regen, ironskin, summoning, magic power, and flasks are all also really good

The only major bug I've had in windows 11 is when I put my 4K screen above my 1080p screens it breaks the snipping tool

Other than that it's worked flawlessly and you can turn off all the annoying features you don't want

It's just 10 with a much better search and start menu with useless junk I don't care about turned off (in my opinion)

Fishing with crate potions and sonar potions in the jungle, look for wooden and jungle crates
But really amphibian boots will give you better overall mobility as they increase the speed and height of jumping, all double jump items, and wings. They don't run as fast as lightning boots but they provide insanely good mobility in the air which is a lot more useful in boss fights
And if you get 2 frog legs you can use the extra with the amphibian boots as they now stack
