Biome crates are generally quite rare

They’re a little more common than titanium and rarer than mythril I believe

If you have very good fishing gear and crate potions, you won’t struggle too much to catch them, but with mediocre gear they’re rare

So the difference between every class is pretty obvious, with summoner being low risk low skill because the game plays itself and you don't need to put yourself in much danger, and melee being high risk high skill because it requires a lot of positional awareness and even without needing to aim that hardly covers up everything else wrong with getting closer to hard to defeat mobs

yeah?

So summoner puts in little effort and risk and puts out really bad dps and the dread of knowing your class is just awful

but melee before the swords update was putting way too much effort in and getting way too little out of it too

Now, the two other classes are mage and ranged. The only destinction between them is that one is way cooler and needs to reload after a while of shooting while the other is putting way too little effort in for an effectively infinite clip and incredible dps

so 1.4 swords update says that the terraria team is actually trying to balance their game

they just don't really know how to start, since ranger is just way too overpowered and nerfing their weapons wouldn't really do much since the concept alone is just too badly overpowered. I think that ranger should be balanced over their ammo consumption, and that the endless musket pouch/quiver should be removed and the price of ammunition go way up

the only difference between the second most powerful class, mage, and ranger is that one has to reload by mana. Making ranger have a clip and all this weird mechanical stuff would change the game way too much, so just making ammunition more rare so that fighting bosses with the most powerful class feels more tense and harder to achieve
