wow restarting and actually getting prepared gave me a better experience rather than speedrunning pre-hardmode
before, I entered hardmode with full meteorite gear only and couldn't handle... everything
in the new world, I entered with Night's Edge, The Bee's Knees, a Shellphone, and an all biome fishing farm (-Hallow)
easily got Titanium and easily beaten 2 Mechanical bosses and a pirate invasion with ease

so maybe frost isnt super-useful in that regard (of giving frostburn to him)

There are bosses to defeat that unlock new materials and even changes your world. It's the progression in this game because you have to gather new ores and craft better armor to pair with more weapons
