Well, getfixedboi map is quite a blessing
Only two hellavators that you must dig to quarantine the two evil biomes at the edge of the world.
The hive and crispy honey block/glowing mushroom layer practically prevent infection from seeping down from the evil surface. The only exception is underground desert. I personally make a large horizontal shaft to contain it, otherwise infection would spread really fast into it and then into nearby areas
Nevertheless, I have seen many people finishing that seed without bothering with it. They did lose the desert pylon however

talk to the dryad, she'll sell crimson seeds and then just plant the seeds over dirt and have some stone underneath, it'll spread over to the stone. This only works in hardmode ofc
