In my case, I definitely did not get the sponge in 35th or 45th, if that matters. The angler gave me more furniture items than fishing gear components, so obviously I don't have as many fish finders, or golden bug nets, or bobbers as you. Chances to get something don't mean it is guaranteed to get.

Can anyone explain how Surface fishing criteria is met? I am on getfixedboi so the fishing spots are reversed. I've been told that Caverns = Underground/Surface. But there are certain fish like Harpyfish and Dirtfish(that I remember off the top of my head) that I just can't fish throughout the whole day even though I am in Caverns level of depth and one of the spots to find them is Surface. I recomend making a chest with water bottles, all the herbs, and other common potion ingredients right next to a potion crafting spot so you can just open the chest and make whatever potions you need

They are great for combat but should get used to using spelunbker/dangersense/hunter and other utility potions
