this is ores and ores alone, other items have unique/different interactions (like some items get decrafted with random modifiers, some items get swapped into other types like the emblems/moss)

titanium->adamantite->orichalcum->mythril->palladium->cobalt->platinum->gold->tungsten->silver->lead->iron->tin->copper

again, there's a few more types of bars that you'll encounter

Tsunami is the best weapon you can get ATM and post plantera it's far more likely you can take out duke fishron for it. Tactical shotgun or sniper with chlorophyte bullets are good for the fight
