nah, focus the arms, they're what is killing you. Without his arms he's just a dumb little head. Ofc you don't need to focus all 4 mainly the laser arm and the bomb arm after those 2 or just the laser one the fight is just way easier

even barring that, if you can get low enough you can bait certain mobs into lava or kill em with boulders or dart traps, and some mobs rarely drop weapons - same mechanisms after that

Otherwise you need the Lava Charm, which is an part of the Terraspark boots crafting chain.
The Charm itself and anything else in the chain that uses it will stack for up to 14 seconds of immunity, but not with the same item in the chain or dupes.
