My concern lies with Relogic, their solution to the money exploit was to create a seemingly-arbitrary, and hidden blacklist of items that you just can't un-craft. You can't find this, except through trial and error, or using the Wiki

I think you can get fledgling wings from sky islands.
Other things that help with falling:
-Cloud in a bottle. Doublejump before you land.
-Hook. Even if you're falling, hook the ground and it'll stop the fall damage.
-cloud in inventory. Keep placing at your feet. You'll land on cloud instead of something lethal.
