That's not a new thing, interrupting the game's audio output has some difficult to address problems. Its been that way for a while now, the game requires a valid audio output to function properly, and removing it takes that away, albeit briefly.

it's one of my favourite bosses so im not saying it about the wall of flesh itself. Specifically the new ftw changes. fire imps spawn at 10x the rate, they shoot 10x faster and teleport nonstop. Their projectiles also can't be stopped with the inferno buff during the fight.
