I’ll test that now because I’m unsure if the wild plants grown in the planter boxes also prevent biomes from spreading past it, although even if platforms do work I would still recommend using the planter boxes because they will always be placed in a straight horizontal line when using a smart cursor, unlike platforms which can placed diagonally.

Crimson Rod really isn't great for me

All weapons have a damage type and you should use armour/accessories etc to boost the stats of that type of weapon, it would be a waste if you used ranger weapons when you wore mage armour for example, it is also easier to progress since you don't have to grind all the accessories again when switching to a different class.

I'm not saying mixed is bad ofc, because there are exceptions on weapons that would benefit all classes

it is okay at least if you do hybrid class, since there are armor sets that benefit hybrid/mixed class
