I made it to hard mode in one of my worlds, so I barely had good loot yet, and then a few nights later a pirate army came in. Could I wait the pirate army out or do I have to defeat it? Because my loot is horrible against them.

It’s really annoying because now whenever I load in I instantly have to start fighting, and they are always right on my spawn.
