Black Spot is the only permanent flying mount available that early on (premech), that is its advantage - it was so clearly OP before (I love it too)... this change has been in place on PC for a time, its just now landing here. I get it, its a big change... but it is what it is for that mount

As ranger I use stormbow which is good against destroyer

There ain’t many great summons at that stage, I suggest looking at the terraria fandom wiki to see if there is any summon items from the biome mimics
