Is there a fix to my game crashing at random all the time for no reason?

I’m not overwhelming the game or anything with particles but it always just keeps crashing and I end up losing 10 minutes up to an hour of progression

I play on the original, I think second wave of playstation console, the one with the removable, but not glossy top above the disc drive

As far as I know it’s the exact same as the PS4 slim

Terraria on it is running off extended storage and I’ve never had issues running games off it though terraria is the one game with issues whether it comes to anything

It would crash here and there and I’d lose progress then I’d re launch the game and it would then crash every 10 minutes
