Trust me you eventually just go numb to how weak you are early game

Just go mining immediately, grab hermes boots if possible and enough gems for a hook, and scourge the caves of their life crystals

By the time you finally exit the underground you should probably have enough max hp and mobility to cross the crimson if it happens to be near spawn, letting you go loot other biomes

Or corruption if you’re playing the inferior evil (deal with it)

Though honestly you can cross the corruption without literally anything, eaters of souls aren’t much of a threat if you don’t stop moving

I’m legit no hitting the guy the entire fight, inferno fork and spectre armour + rainbow gun is RINSING his attacks and his hp (rainbow gun negates the bubbles and damages the sharks, which the inferno fork explosions finish off), then phase 3 happens and booms bang pow im dead.

I look it up and the solution is just use shield of Cthulhu. That would have been nice to know before I destroyed all my alters and trashed my shield after I got master ninja gear

I’m used to fighting duke when he has different ai, I’ve legit barely fought regular phase 3 duke

If all else fails, I’m swapping spectre headpieces to the healing one and just cheesing it by being nearly unkillable

I try to make them appear at the edge of my arena so I can basically ignore them whilst my rainbow gun passively destroys the sharks flying at me

It misses a lot, does basically no damage for post plantera, and it’s a sentry not a summon, so you need to wear old ones army armour to even use it effectively

Crate potions, good bait and rod, sit on a toilet with the tipsy debuff, and use a fishing potion + sonar potion if you like

I prefer using sonar as to not waste bait but it’s optional really

Oddly enough none of the fishing buffs actually effect crate chances
