I recently got the Terraria itch again after not playing since 2018 or so. I’ve been playing on my PS4 and everything is up to date, but it randomly freezes at least once a day and causes me to lose a significant amount of progress. There’s no warning and I’m not doing anything specific that could be causing it, I’ll just be doing normal stuff and then it freezes. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Same here, but thankfully turning your wave quality to off, and frequently hitting options to force autosave your game, seems to work wonders for me. Hadn’t had a freeze in quite some time, and even when they do happen my character is saved at the very least lol

You don’t even have to change a setting for it to autosave! Just quickly tapping the options button will start an autosave, and turning your wave quality to off just seems like added crash protection 🤝
