I've done this strategy multiple times trust me it works

if not then he’ll go right past without taking damage
and even then, extending it to the sky will take too much rope
and overall waste time when you can just kill him quicker if you did it normally
and by the time he reaches the hellevator you’ll only hit one eye and possibly the mouth
