If you've got the pickaxe axe you can always farm worlds for temple traps like the flame thrower, spikey balls and set up a, what I like to call, an outpost just above ground where you can just sit safely behind walls until blood Moon is over. It's also worthwhile to plunder the underground for geysers to set in the ground surrounding your outpost set to timer with the other traps

I do the same thing with solar eclipses, goblins, and pirate invasions. Goblins can't normally get close enough to spawn inside your base or teleport around if you have enough traps set up, plus there's always loot littering the ground afterwards which can usually net you a couple of gold at the very least

K then build a platform 175 blocks above ground level and usually it's easy to kill destroyer from there

For bow aim up at the sky and that will make it damage a bigger area
