Use a metal now of some sorts if you are alone.

Recommend tungsten lead or even iron. Make sure to use flame arrows. Better if you also have ice so that you can make ice flame arrows which do more damage.

The weapon is a bow that should be used.

My layout is basically a rail "staircase" at one end, and a long flat rail at the bottom. You go up almost vertically, but so fast that none of the bosses can keep up. Then, you are fired off a jump, using the jump's own curved trajectory to hop over whatever boss's head is in the trap.

the best one i have uses a little more than 150 rails, but it is also long enough to force moonlord to respawn and move, which makes his patterning about a billion times more predictable, cos it is reset during every loop.
