If you can't get anything to work I suggest copying all your files for characters and worlds and uninstall the game once you install add the character and world files to the right place and it should be fixed

for pc, yeah it's basically the normal but on mobile i do a great imitation of a fish out of water and take about 3 hits from contact damage before switching to a weapon

miss the jump button while trying to escape an enemy and fall down a pit
