go make a zerotier account, make a network, enter the zerotier app and put the network code(not ip) in it and connect to it and wait till it says online, then go tell your friend to join the network, then go on the website and authorize the users that connected there. Then go to your zerotier app, connect and in the network thete should be an actual ip, copy that ip, go in the lan thing multiplayer in terraria then tell your friend the ip and tell them to connect once you host the game while both of you are connected to the network.
