There are some reasons behind it. My first playthrough lasted 8 months, 6 out of which I've spent getting in hardmode. I've never seen any guides and I've been collecting all times I could, I've crafted Terrablade and Ankh Shield. The second playthrough lasted 3 years and I was able to collect all the best gears for all classes. The third was the same but lasted 2 years. The fourth lasted almost 2 years. The 5th lasted less than a year and then I took a break. 6th lasted around half a year, 7th lasted 6 days and the rest are not that huge (by the amount of items I've collected). So far I've farmed 3 RoDs, crafted 3 Terrablades and 3 Ankh shields. And the amount of time I've spent farming to open FIFTEEN BIOME CHESTS is... Well, I think you get it now - I'm too tired to farm anything in this game, I've HAD it.

First 5 were melee, 6th was ranged, 7th was mage btw
