you get light and dark shards from hallow and corrupt/crimson deserts, you get souls of light in the underground hallow by killing enemies there, they have a chance to drop souls. You get souls of night just like how you did when you get souls of light, but instead of the underground hallow, you go to an underground crimson/corruption. How will you know if its an underground crimson? An underground crimson can be usually found in like the crimson caves at the surface crimson biomes, the caves are usually in like red stone. But if you have a corruption world (the purple one) then go to the underground, search it until you see the stone change into purple and the music changes, you'll know it its the underground corruption if the enemies can drop souls of night and new mobs that look like the mobs that would spawn in the corruption, THERE AFTER MAKING BIG BRAIN WORD AND LOOKING AT WIKI ON HOW TO SAY IT
