hardmode spread is halved when you defeat plantera but that’s mid-hardmode and if you didn’t take containment measures on prehardmode like digging a 6 wide tunnel around the evil biomes it’ll reach your base eventually

but you unlock the clentaminator once you defeat one mechanical boss and the steampunker arrives
